Chocolate Protein Balls :
These are by far the best protein treats I have ever made! I first made a small batch to make sure they were good. As soon as I tried one I immediately made another batch!. They are so simple to make. These protein balls are a great pre or post workout snack. I topped a few of mine with natural unsweetened cocoa powder and the rest with a coconut oil , unsweetened cocoa powder mixture. You can even eat these with no topping, there that good. The protein powder I used was the muscle milk pro series. It has 25 grams of protein in on scoop. I stored my extras in Tupperware in the fridge but I’m sure they will be fine at room temp. I hope you enjoy these as much as I do!
ingredients:
- 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
- 3-4 tbl coconut flour
- 1 tbl coconut oil
- 1 tbl peanut butter
- 4 tbl unsweetened almond milk
Melt coconut oil and peanut butter in microwave. Then combine all ingredients in a bowl. Mix it well. If you need to add more milk you can, you want the dough to be able to hold the shape of a ball. If it’s too watery add more protein or coconut flour. Once you get the right constancy shape into balls and place in fridge for a few min.
Chocolate topping:
- 1 tsp coconut oil
- unsweetened cocoa powder
Melt oil then add cocoa powder, pour over balls. Because the balls were in the fridge the topping will turn into a hard shell. You can also roll balls in the cocoa powder.
